Plot
The story revolves around Venky mama (Venkatesh) and his alludu Karthik (Naga Chaitanya) living together in a village. Venky Mama is an ex-military man. He will be taking care of his allude from childhood and trains him to join the military. Karthik becomes successful in joining the army.
Meanwhile, Karthik falls in love with a girl (Raashi). His mama comes to know about this but encourages his love story later. Karthik decides to give back the lost happiness in Venky mama’s life and helps in bringing his love interest (Payal) back into his life. The further story of their bonding and the hurdles faced by them must be seen on big screens.

After huge speculations and pre-buzz, Venky Mama released worldwide on 13 December 2019. Venky Mama is a perfect family outing showing the strong bond between mama and alludu. Venkatesh is the soul of the movie who has justified his role both in movie comic scenes. Naga Chaitanya too supported his mama with adequate performance. Raashi and Payal look good in their roles. The MP3 songs composed by S. Thaman are quite good, and the background score is a big plus. Director Bobby has successfully showcased the relationship of mama and alludu on the big screen & has won many hearts along the way.

Venky Mama opened with a tremendous response across the Telugu states and with packed houses with the family audience flocking into theatres big time. Venky Mama started off by collecting ₹ 7.15 cr share on its opening day with a gross of over ₹12 cr. The film maintained a good hold over the weekend and added an amount of ₹ 4.9 cr and ₹ 5.5 cr share on day 2 & day 3, respectively. At the end of its first week, the movie collected an estimated amount of ₹ 23.5 cr share from the Telugu states. On the second weekend, the film added another ₹ 3 cr share from AP/TS to take its 10 days total to ₹ 26.5 cr and worldwide share of over ₹ 33 cr. Venky Mama has recovered 90% of its investment in 10 days and is supposed to hit the break-even mark this week.
